OUR STORY
Formerly known as the D.C. Homeless Mission, the organization has been renamed to the Mario E. Dorsonville Foundation, in honor of the late bishop. The D.C. Homeless Mission was originally founded in 2013 by Bishop Dorsonville and is dedicated to serving unhoused individuals in the D.C. area. On a bi-weekly basis on Sundays, homeless mission volunteers visit various parks, offering food, supplies, and friendship to those in need. Homeless Mission organizers bring an abundance of supplies for volunteers to distribute such as socks, coats, toothbrushes, hats, gloves, even tablets. Hot chocolate and soup is also available to serve on cold days.
