DONATE
Donating to the Mario E. Dorsonville Foundation is one of the most impactful giving opportunities in the DC area. That’s because 100% of your donation goes to support one of our great causes:
The D.C. Homeless Mission
On a bi-weekly basis our volunteers visit various parks in the D.C. area, offering food, supplies, and most importantly friendship to those in need. However, these supplies can only be purchased and distributed because of the generosity of our donors. Below is a list of items that mission volunteers typically distribute and the cost associated with each.
$3 provides one pair of wool socks
$8 provides one fleece hat
$10 provides thermal gloves
$25 provides 40 pairs of hand warmers
$27 provides 30 cups of noodles
$40 provides one cold weather sleeping bag
$50 provides one pair of waterproof winter pants
$55 provides one waterproof insulated winter coat
Donate to the Homeless Mission and help us distribute essential supplies to those who are most in need.
Catholic Education for Migrants
Immigrants around the world face many hurdles as they leave their homeland for a better life. Many hispanic immigrants are Catholic but don’t have the means to afford a Catholic education. The Mario E. Dorsonville Foundation strives to place immigrant youth in Catholic schools with financial support from multiple areas.
A donation of $100 can go a long way to ensure newcomers in the United States get a leg up with their education.
Priest Vocations
Mario E. Dorsonville was a torch who illuminated people’s path to loving and serving God. His deep love for his vocation was visible in his daily life, and he strived to promote it to as many young men as he could. With an abundance of funds, The Mario E. Dorsonville Foundation is able to support priest vocations by donating to organizations that he was involved with.
A donation of $100 can go a long way to ensure new priests are added to the DC area.
